Emily Bruce has joined Greenville-based Forge Search + Consulting as a recruiter after an early career in marketing and advertising. Beginning as an event intern, Bruce spent seven years in progressively expanding roles and responsibilities in account management for a large marketing and branding agency, rising to the level of account supervisor.

This new, statewide recognition is designed to showcase tangible and innovative efforts by companies, nonprofits and other organizations to advance women in the workplace and community in South Carolina.

Rhiannon Poore will tell you that she is an unlikely entrepreneur. “I prefer to avoid risk,” she says wryly. “I’ve never seen myself as a CEO. I’m more of a good No. 2 person.”
But Poore’s personal motto is “Do the next right thing.”
